Waste management

We have a full recycling programme in place at all our premises ensuring that white and coloured paper, glass, cardboard, plastic bottles and drinks cans are recycled. We aim to repeat our waste audit during 2009 and measure what difference our 2008 improvements have made to our waste streams.

Our target is to show a measurable improvement on our carbon emissions from waste in 2009 as compared to the previous year. We are working closely with our landlords and our recycling contractors to ensure we capture and dispose of as much waste responsibly as possible. From our current monitoring we are expecting to demonstrate that of the 78 tonnes of CO2 we produce through our waste streams, 75 tonnes has been avoided through our recycling practice this year.
