A Sheffield hospital unit for teenagers and young adults with cancer has received over £12,000 thanks to a series of fundraising initiatives by Nabarro's Sheffield office. Our staff raised £2,373 for the Sheffield unit, with an additional contribution of £10,000 from the firm. The presentation follows a donation of over £3,000 from Nabarro and its employees last summer.
Teenage Cancer Trust provides specialist teenage units in NHS hospitals designed to give teenagers the very best chance of a positive outcome. As well as state-of-the-art facilities to keep patients occupied during long stays in hospital, the units provide an environment where teenagers can meet others in a similar situation.
"We always select a local charity as the focus of our office fundraising and Teenage Cancer Trust’s unit in Sheffield is a very deserving beneficiary," says Nabarro partner Carl Dray. "It's a cause that is very close to our hearts and we're determined to raise as much as we can."
