Nabarro Real Estate teams help out local charity KIDS
On Monday 5 October 2009, 24 volunteers from two of Nabarro's Real Estate teams, PE and PD, used their Nabarro Day to help regenerate one of the adventure playgrounds run by local charity KIDS. KIDS is a Holborn-based charity which supports disabled children and its adventure playgrounds provide its children with a much needed opportunity for stimulating, inclusive, adventurous play.
The Nabarro volunteers were drafted in to work for the day at the Hackney Playground which was in need of a tidy up before the winter sets in. The volunteers were put to good use during the day by the Playground co-ordinators, cutting back hedgerows, weeding, cleaning the ground in preparation for an allotment and cleaning toys. Despite it raining all day, spirits were high and everyone mucked in and did a really good job.
The volunteers made a massive difference and KIDS were highly complimentary about the team.
