Nabarro donation to Teenage Cancer Trust
Members of the charity committee from the Sheffield office recently handed over a cheque for £50,560 to the Teenage Cancer Trust. The donation is going to be spent on refurbishing an area of the haematology ward at the Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield to customise it to meet the needs of children and young people receiving cancer treatments.
The donation represents the results of two years of fundraising at the Sheffield office, with members of staff participating in office wide and individual events. Key events include office participation in the Sheffield half marathon and the annual charity ball. Aneliese Martindale (pictured) commented, "Last year's ball raised over £10,000 for charity, which was a great achievement. This year the ball is going to be held on 14 May and, with the support of colleagues and clients, we hope to do even better."
Partner Chris Chambers said, "The funds raised are the results of the efforts of the whole office, and we are very pleased to have been able to support such a worthwhile cause."
