Ben gallantly went off to man the gate and receive supplies as they arrived and Annaliese nobly took on the role of toilet guard whilst the other engaged themselves in cutting out bunting. Vicky and Louisa were then sent off to get flyers in people's pockets and posters in shop windows by whatever means necessary. Top marks to Vicky for managing to give a flyer to Stella McCartney! Finally all of the volunteers were reunited for the final part of the day, wrapping presents for the children's goody bags.

On Friday 10 July 2009, a group of 6 volunteers used their Nabarro Day to help Great Ormond Street Hospital set up their Peter Pan themed fundraiser treasure hunt in Kensington Gardens. There was bunting to be made, presents to be wrapped and flyers to be distributed as well as the less than popular task of guarding the on-site portaloos to make sure members of the public didn't use them before the big day!
The volunteer group, made up of Rachel Bassindale, Vicky Clarke, Lisa Mantle, Annaliese Bate, Ben Fish and Louisa Dixon, threw themselves enthusiastically into the tasks given to them.
The day was a great success and the tasks could not have been completed without the help of the Nabarro volunteers. Thanks are expressed to everyone who took part.
A big thank you also goes to the further group of volunteers, made up of Katie Shilling, Sita Verma, Kirti Jadav, Pamela Rookard, Elizabeth Moynihan, Laura Hunt, Jane Drew, Melissa Mahon and Catrin Evans, who went along to the treasure hunt the next day to assist with the actual running of the event.
