Nabarro win silver in charity netball tournament

On 24 March 2010 eight Nabarro ladies trouped to Battersea Park to play in a charity netball tournament in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

The team's secret weapon, GOSH mascot "Ted", saw the ladies off to a good start with a 10-8 win in a fast paced match against developers John Laing plc. Despite the onset of drizzle and a few slips and trips resulting in bloody hands and knees, the team kept up the pressure and breezed through the remaining qualifying matches 16-3 and 8-2 against Sainsbury's and Indigo respectively.

A tense final against Drivers Jonas ensued. Nabarro kept pace in the first half, which ended 4-4, but Drivers Jonas slipped ahead in the second as the Nabarro shooters struggled with the "goal of darkness" on the under lit end of the pitch. Drivers Jonas finished with a deserving 10-6 score to be crowned winners of the tournament.

All the teams reconvened to the Masons Arms for some well deserved refreshments, where the Nabarro team proudly accepted their silver medals and congratulated our fellow Nabarro representatives flying the flag in the Women in Property team.
