On Saturday 15 May, Baldwins Omega in Sheffield was transformed into Tinseltown for the Nabarro Hollywood Charity Ball in aid of the Sheffield and Chesterfield branch of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Over 200 guests turned out in full black tie glamour and red carpet elegance and were treated to a night of entertainment from a jazz quartet, a local DJ and the top class Nabarro Office Band.
Guests also tried their luck at auctions, a raffle, a game of "stand-up sit-down bingo" and a special Hollywood themed quiz. Lucky winners scooped up prizes ranging from a holiday for 4, donated by CSA Malta, to a Nintendo Wii to a weekend in the champagne suite at the local Leopold Hotel.
It is hoped that the night will have raised over £10,000 in total. Rebecca Staden, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support in Sheffield and Chesterfield, said "I want to offer a huge well done and thank you to the team for Saturday night, it was fantastic! I know first hand how long it takes to arrange an event like this and Nabarro did a great job."
Niall Logan, managing partner of the Nabarro Sheffield office, commented, "We are very proud of all the effort that went into organising the evening. Well done to the team for a great evening, which was very well organised and very entertaining. Clearly a lot of hard work went into it."
Nabarro's fund-raising efforts on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support continue with events including a summer barbecue to coincide with the start of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
